Vintage 1980's 1989 very rare and hard to find sit down ski snowboard prototype. This single blade sit down snow ski board is embossed marked on one side on the base part "Prox Ski, Inc., P. O. Box 260, Bethel, Pa., 19507, U. S. A., Pat. Pend. No. 07313802, Reg. 1989 Can. Pat. No. 64848". The inventor lived in Bethel, Berks County, Pennsylvania. The ski measures 37" long by 1 1/2" wide by 16" tall with the seat attached. The bottom has a 32" long by 1/16" thick stainless steel plate attached with 4 countersunk bolts with nuts. The 14 3/4" by 8" seat mounts onto the base upright with two long bolts and thumbscrews. The professionally factory very well-made ski is made out of a thick dense black plastic composite material. It is very strong and sturdy. It is in excellent near mint unused or seldomly used condition. It displays beautifully ad is great to use or for display for the snow skier, mountain cabin, skiing lodge, etc. It is sold as is and as pictured with returns not accepted. $30.00 USPS or FedEx postage.
