Vintage 1995 Burton Twin 58 snowboard - Early Twin - Make An Offer - Collectible.
This is an excellent opportunity to pick up one of Burton’s earliest twin boards for a collector. You’ll rarely find this board for sale, and when you do it almost certainly won’t be in great condition like this board.
Burton introduced the twin shape in their 1994 catalog with the Ouija board. The next year they expanded to a full line of twins including this board which is listed on page 9 of the 1995 Burton catalog, which you can find at the board vault website. It was the first year that Burton offered significant options for twin boards. The striped Brushie board also came out the same year, but unfortunately I was too tall/heavy to buy that board that maxed out at 53.
I bought this board new and rode it for two years lightly. Then I have stored it since then. I rode it once about 3 years ago and it handled like it was new. There are a couple minor scratches on the base that have been repaired and one very light one that hasn’t been repaired. They are still shown in the photos. Nothing went through the base or even near the core. The edges are in excellent condition. As you would expect with a board of this age, there is some rust on the edges but it doesn’t affect their sharpness or compromise the edge.
As you can see from the mini photos the top is very clean and can be displayed easily. I left the vintage Calvin and Hobbes stickers on the board, but they can easily be removed with some sticker removal solution. You might see a couple of shiny areas on the photos near the Calvin and Hobbes photos, which is residue from some packing tape that was wrapped around it once when we were moving. That can easily be removed as well. This board will be excellent for a collector and is in excellent condition to display with minor cleaning. It is also in excellent shape for riding the park if you want to rock a retro look.
I am open to reasonable offers and I’m not set on the price. I hate to let this board go, but I need to clear up some space.
