Inspired by one of the world's ultimate powder and groomer destinations, the K2 Niseko Pleasures takes its name from the Niseko region of Hokkaido, Japan. Tweaked, and tested, and-and-approved, by long-time K2 Snowboarding Team Rider Yo Amagai, we've tapped into the locals' knowledge to develop the best possible tool for riding powder and groomers.
The Niseko Pleasures is built for the advanced-to-expert snowboarder, features our smooth-flexing Bambooyah™ Pro Core, biaxial fiberglass lay-up, fast Carbon Infused 5500 Sintered Race Base, waxable P-Tex sidewalls, and a snow-shedding SnoPhobic™ top sheet. Its tapered directional shape helps the tail sink while easing turn initiation and exit for effortless edge changes on any terrain.
VOLUME SHIFT™:
We reduce swing weight and toe/heel drag by shifting surface area from the tip and tail to the waist of the snowboard. Downsize from 4-10 cm from your usual snowboard length.
CARBON INFUSED 5500 SINTERED BASE:
Fast, light, and strong. Our Carbon Infused 5500 base is the cream of the crop. By adding carbon to a sintered base, we’ve increased wax retention and decreased drag for a faster, smoother ride.
BAMBOOYAH™ BLENDED CORE:
Renewable and stronger than hell. Bamboo possesses a higher tensile strength than steel and withstands compression better than concrete, and that’s why we offer these boards complete with a five year warranty.
BIAXIAL GLASS:
Smooth all-purpose performance with a no-frills design. Fibers are woven together at 0° and 90°, creating a more forgiving flex pattern.
The tip and tail shape, a wider-than-normal waist width, and 20mm of taper work perfectly to glide through powder and keep the nose well above the snow for easy navigation and maneuverability. The mid-wide shape allows riders to downsize ~5cm from their standard snowboard length without sacrificing float.
