Details and Reviews for: Burton Process Off Axis 2015-2018 Snowboard Unlike most asymmetrical boards, the Burton Process Off Axis doesn’t
have a different side cut radius on each of its two edges, so it rides a
little more conventionally from the off. What it does have are varying
‘Frostbite’ edges – the location of the grippy protrusions on the heel
edge is slightly different to those on the toe, and the end result is
perfect, natural-feeling grip that doesn’t ever feel twitchy. There’s another element at play here; the core of most Burton's varies
in thickness along its length, to reduce overall weight and deliver
better pop. On the Burton Process Off-Axis, the sections have been
aligned with the common ‘duck’ stance of a park rider, rather than
running perpendicular with the length of the board. It might not seem like a big deal, but when you’re carving up to a
jump and then launching off the lip, you’ll be glad it’s there. Those
asym elements combined with the Process’ many fine features adds up to a
cracking park board. True twin, with regular camber, medium
flex, responsive glass and a fast sintered base make this a stompable,
switch-riding pleasure machine. Load the tail up and experience awesome
pop that you only get with a cambered snowboard, while the extended
‘Frostbite’ edge under your bindings lock you in on the ice. Plus the truly banging symmetrical graphic makes this one of our shop favorites.” Riding Style All Mountain Freestyle Riding Level Advanced - Expert Shape Asymmetrical Twin Camber Profile Mostly Camber Stance Centered Approx.
