This is “The Board”. The board that started Capita. The very first season they made boards. A Black Snowboard of Death 158. This board has a crazy history. Capita was founded by Blue Montgomery and Jason Brown after Jason left Burton in 1999. Their brand reveal at SIA in Vegas was legendary. Let’s just say it was explosive. The boards were made at the REV factory and innovated the sliding mounting system a decade before Burton and years before Forum. This board was never ridden because it was being shipped to me at the World Trade Center after being ordered from Seattle Snowboard Connection on September 8th, 2001. Needless to say I thought the board was lost, but lo and behold sometime in November the board showed up at my disaster recovery site. The only issue was I ended up buying a Burton Dragon. I had every intention of using it, but I just never did. And then I thought I’d just hold on to it. For 20 years…. I have over 30 classic boards. Every Brushie-From Trout to Craps, every Noah-From Skate to Ark, The Sims Dunn, The Kung Fu-Iguchi. The original Unorthodox with Fusion Bindings. Methods, an Idiom signed by Jake, Mysteries, Vapors, everything. This is my favorite. I am including the catalog that I received directly from Jason Brown when I was a member of “Thebrownlist” Don’t forget your roots.
