22 Design's new tech-toe design telemark binding is a must-have for both avid backcountry telemark skiers as well as those who are just getting into it. This binding features composite flex plates, adjustable pre-load and binding activity, and a lightweight durable design. The lightweight springs have plenty of travel and the binding can easily be switched between ski and walk modes. It is built with machined aluminum parts which are also lightweight (because we know that every extra little bit of weight counts when you are touring up a mountain.) This binding allows for touring without any lifted binding weight because of its tech-toe design which allows the boot to pivot at the toe on two frictionless pins. One touch puts the binding into free pivot mode and then once at the top, use your ski pole to activate ski mode. This binding will allow you to go uphill with your AT friends but then get the enjoyment of nice creamy tele turns all the way down.
