These "Smurfing" Smurfs were a promotional giveaway by Hardee's Restaurant in 1996. Each Smurf character is on a different colored surfboard that has wheels. Many mistake the series for Skateboarder Smurfs due to the wheels, however, the Smurfs are in fact wearing swimsuits and riding a surfboard. On the front of each surfboard is a round solid-color "Smurf" sticker. Over the years, some of the stickers either fell off or were removed.
