1988 Vintage K2 Gyrator 152cm Snowboard | USED
The K2 Gyrator was first made in a water ski factory using cap construction. The origional boards, like the one in the photos, pretty much have no side-cut making them super hard to turn, but boy do they go fast. The Gyrator model was a hit, making K2 the most influential ski brand to break into the snowboarding market. Considering this board is 34 years old, it’s in pretty good shape, although the edges are super rusted and the base could use some work. We don’t recommend riding this board but it would be a great collector’s item or look fantastic as wall art with the neon era graphics. Utah Ski Gear Condition Rating System New | Like New | Very Good | Good | Fair | Poor Top-sheet: Good. Some cosmetic scratching and scuffing Base: Fair. Could use a tune Edges: Poor. Very rusted Binding: N/A Side Cut: Pretty much no side cut Turn Radius: Takes a lot to turn Disclaimer of Warranties: For previously owned and used skis and bindings: Equipment is sold “as is” The buyer assumes all risk as to the quality and performance of the equipment Snowboarding is dangerous.
